When Jesus Comes Again in the Last Days, what happens when Jesus comes again

Prophecies Concerned With the Lord’s Coming in Secret

When it comes to how Jesus will return when He comes again, many believers, just based on a few prophecies, believe that when Jesus comes again, He will return with clouds. Actually, in the Lord’s prophecies, there is not only one way of His return. In the matter of welcoming the Lord’s return, if we don’t seek other prophecies about His return, but just limit the way He returns to “coming in clouds” only, isn’t that a little arbitrary? That way, deviations and errors will certainly appear in our welcoming the Lord’s return. That is why we must seek and investigate in many aspects how Jesus will return when He comes again.

By looking through the Bible we can readily discover that the Lord’s return is prophesied in two different ways. Besides His public descent upon a cloud, He also will descend in secret. For example, the Bible records: “If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief” (Revelation 3:3). “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15). “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6). “Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes” (Matthew 24:44). “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in His day. But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24–25). These prophecies speak of how the Lord will come quietly like a thief, which means that the Lord will come in secret in the last days. Moreover, they also mention “the Son of man comes” and “the Son of man be in His day.” The “Son of man” indeed refers to God incarnate. Only one born of man with a normal human body could be called the Son of man. For instance, the Lord Jesus was the Son of man, and He was God’s Spirit incarnated as an ordinary person who came among man in secret to work. Whereas if He came in the Spirit or His resurrected spiritual body, which is particularly supernatural, then it wouldn’t be possible to call Him the Son of man.

Furthermore, the Scriptures mention that the returned Lord Jesus will endure suffering and be rejected by this generation. If God were to appear as the supernatural Spirit, then all people would accept Him and prostrate themselves in worship. If that were the case, then it would be impossible for the prophecy “But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” to be fulfilled. Only by God coming secretly in incarnate flesh, appearing ordinary and normal on the outside, and by people not treating Him as God will He endure suffering. When the Lord Jesus worked in secret with the identity of the Son of man, for example, the Pharisees only saw His outward appearance and so thought He was a Nazarene and failed to recognize Him as the Messiah. They thus refused to accept the truth expressed by the Lord Jesus and nailed Him to the cross.

Therefore, when Jesus comes again, He will return secretly as the Son of man before the great disasters. If we determine that the Lord will only return openly with clouds, then we will be liable to miss our chance to welcome Him.

The Returned Lord Will Come Secretly Before the Great Disasters and Then Appear Openly After the Disasters

At this point of the fellowship, perhaps some believers are confused: “If the Lord descends secretly before the great disasters, then how will the prophecies of the Lord’s coming openly in clouds be fulfilled?” In fact, the Lord’s return happens in stages. First He comes secretly before the great disasters and then appears openly after the disasters. This is how all the prophecies of the Lord’s return are fulfilled. It will be like when the Lord Jesus came to work: He first came secretly as the Son of man. After He was crucified and completed His work, He resurrected from death. He publicly appeared to people for forty days and then ascended to heaven.

Now the prophecies about the Lord coming in secret have been fulfilled. The Lord has already secretly descended before the great disasters and He is Almighty God in the flesh. Almighty God has expressed millions of words of the truth and revealed the mystery of God’s management plan. Based on the Lord Jesus’ work of redemption, He is performing a stage of work of judgment beginning in God’s house, thereby allowing man to thoroughly cast off the bonds of sin and be purified. Almighty God’s appearance and work not only fulfill the prophecies that tell of the Lord coming secretly as the Son of man, but also fulfill the biblical prophecies: “He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17). “For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son” (John 5:22). “Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth” (John 17:17).

During the period in which Almighty God incarnate has come in secret to express the truth and save mankind, all who recognize God’s voice and accept Almighty God’s work in the last days are the wise virgins who are raptured before God’s throne. By accepting Almighty God’s work of judgment by the word, they are able to achieve purification and transformation of their corrupt dispositions, be made into overcomers by God before the great disasters, and become the first fruits. This precisely fulfills the prophecy in the Book of Revelation where it says: “These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God” (Revelation 14:4–5).

This is currently the phase in which Almighty God is working in secret to save mankind. He is engaged in expressing His word to judge and purify mankind. During this phase, we will not see the spectacle of the Lord appearing openly. After God makes a group of overcomers, His great work will be complete, and the work of the secret coming of God incarnate will be over. God will then begin to unleash the great disasters to reward the good and punish the wicked. He will reveal Himself openly to man, and those who condemn and resist God’s work in the last days will be swept up in the disasters, weeping and gnashing their teeth. This will be the precise fulfillment of the prophecies of the Lord’s coming openly which say: “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). “Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him” (Revelation 1:7).

Nowadays, disaster after disaster rains down. If we want to be made into overcomers before the great disasters and enter God’s kingdom, then we must accept the judgment and purification of Almighty God’s words. If we never seek or accept the work of the secret coming of Almighty God, then we will certainly become embroiled in the disasters and punished. Just as Almighty God warns us: “Many people may not care what I say, but I still want to tell every so-called saint who follows Jesus that, when you see Jesus descend from the heaven upon a white cloud with your own eyes, this will be the public appearance of the Sun of righteousness. Perhaps that will be a time of great excitement for you, yet you should know that the time when you witness Jesus descend from the heaven is also the time when you go down to hell to be punished. That will be the time of the end of God’s management plan and it will be when God rewards the good and punishes the wicked. For the judgment of God will have ended before man sees signs, when there is only the expression of truth. Those who accept the truth and do not seek signs, and thus have been purified, shall have returned before the throne of God and entered the Creator’s embrace. Only those who persist in the belief that ‘The Jesus who does not ride upon a white cloud is a false Christ’ shall be subjected to everlasting punishment, for they only believe in the Jesus who exhibits signs, but do not acknowledge the Jesus who proclaims severe judgment and releases the true way and life. And so it can only be that Jesus deals with them when He openly returns upon a white cloud. They are too stubborn, too confident in themselves, too arrogant. How could such degenerates be rewarded by Jesus? The return of Jesus is a great salvation for those who are capable of accepting the truth, but for those who are unable to accept the truth it is a sign of condemnation. You should choose your own path, and should not blaspheme against the Holy Spirit and reject the truth. You should not be an ignorant and arrogant person, but someone who obeys the guidance of the Holy Spirit and longs for and seeks the truth; only in this way will you benefit.

After reading God’s warnings for us mankind, what will you choose? Whether we accept Almighty God’s work of judgment and chastisement in the last days decides our outcomes and destinations. Now, God’s hidden work of salvation in His incarnate flesh is nearing its end. We should be the wise virgins and hurry to investigate and accept the work of the secret coming of Almighty God, for only by doing so will we have the opportunity to be made into overcomers and enter God’s kingdom. If we wait until the Lord publicly appears, then our regrets will come too late.
