Does God Always Forgive Sins You Continue to Repeat?

September 12, 2020

Many people, no matter how long they believe in the Lord, still live in the condition of sinning by day and confessing by night, and so they are worried about whether God forgives sins they continue repeating and whether they can finally enter the heavenly kingdom. Actually, the Lord’s words have already told us God’s attitudes toward these issues, as well as the path to resolve sin.

Does God Always Forgive Sins You Continue to Repeat, does god forgive all sins

Does God Forgive Sins You Continue Repeating?

The Lord Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever(John 8:34–35). Leviticus 11:45 says, “You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.” In Revelation 21:27 it says, “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatever works abomination, or makes a lie.” God’s words show us that God is holy and righteous, and that all those who commit sins are the servants of sin. Therefore, God won’t forever forgive sins people continue repeating. Just as the Bible records, “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries(Hebrews 10:26–27). Thus, for us who have our sins forgiven after believing in the Lord but still repeatedly commit sins, and are unable to practice the Lord’s teachings and escape the bonds of sin, ultimately we can’t gain God’s everlasting forgiveness and can’t enter God’s kingdom. That’s the answer based on what the Lord personally said.

How to Break Away From the Condition of Repeatedly Sinning

If we want to gain God’s forgiveness and enter God’s kingdom, we can only do so by thoroughly casting off the bonds and constraints of sin and attaining purification. Actually, the Lord Jesus has pointed out to us the path to resolve sin. The Lord said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come(John 16:12–13). “And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day(John 12:47–48). “Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth(John 17:17). 1 Peter 4:17 says, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.” We can see from these verses that, when the Lord returns in the last days, based on our stature and needs, He will express the truth and perform the work of judgment beginning from God’s house on the foundation of the work of redemption. With the truth, He will judge and cleanse our sinful nature, and show us the path to dispositional change, so that we can thoroughly cast off the bonds and constraints of sin. Therefore, if we want to break away from the condition of repeatedly sinning, we must accept the work of judgment beginning from God’s house done by Christ of the last days.

The Lord Has Already Returned to Do the Work of Judgment

Nowadays, only The Church of Almighty God testifies that the Lord Jesus has returned as Almighty God, Christ of the last days. Almighty God has expressed many truths and launched the work of judgment beginning from God’s house to completely cleanse man’s sins. Now, let’s take a look at two passages of Almighty God’s words, “Though Jesus did much work among man, He only completed the redemption of all mankind and became man’s sin offering; He did not rid man of all his corrupt disposition. Fully saving man from the influence of Satan not only required Jesus to become the sin offering and bear the sins of man, but it also required God to do even greater work to rid man completely of his satanically corrupted disposition. And so, now that man has been forgiven of his sins, God has returned to the flesh to lead man into the new age, and begun the work of chastisement and judgment. This work has brought man into a higher realm. All those who submit under His dominion shall enjoy higher truth and receive greater blessings. They shall truly live in the light, and they shall gain the truth, the way, and the life.

In the work of the last days, the word is mightier than the manifestation of signs and wonders, and the authority of the word surpasses that of signs and wonders. The word exposes all the corrupt dispositions buried deep in the heart of man. You have no way of recognizing them on your own. When they are laid bare before you through the word, you will naturally come to discover them; you will not be able to deny them, and you will be utterly convinced. Is this not the authority of the word? This is the result achieved by the work of the word today. Therefore, it is not through the healing of sickness and casting out of demons that man can be fully saved from his sins, nor can he be made fully complete by the manifestation of signs and wonders. The authority to heal sickness and cast out demons only gives man grace, but the flesh of man still belongs to Satan and the corrupt satanic disposition still remains within man. In other words, that which has not been made clean still pertains to sin and to filth. Only after he has been made clean through the agency of the word can man be gained by God and become sanctified.

From God’s words, we can see that at that time the Lord Jesus did the work of redemption and rescued mankind from sin. After putting faith in the Lord, as long as people confessed and repented to Him, their sins would be forgiven and they could enjoy the peace, joy, and abundant grace bestowed by Him. At that time, God only forgave man’s sins according to their needs, instead of doing the work of purifying man. So, by believing in the Lord Jesus we only have our sins forgiven and are no longer condemned by the law. However, we still repeatedly commit sins, and no matter how hard we try, we are incapable of getting rid of the bonds and constraints of sin. In the last days, based on the Lord Jesus’ work, Almighty God expresses the truth and performs the work of judgment beginning with God’s house, exposing and judging our inner satanic corrupt nature through His words, so that we can have understanding of the satanic dispositions and all kinds of mistaken viewpoints that exist within ourselves, and see clearly how deeply we have been corrupted by Satan, how we are filled with satanic dispositions such as arrogance, conceit, selfishness, despicableness, crookedness, deceitfulness, evil, greed, sinisterness, maliciousness and hating the truth, and how we lack any true human likeness. In the judgment and chastisement of Almighty God’s words, we come to know the truth of our corruption by Satan, feel ashamed and guilty, and start to hate ourselves. Meanwhile, we have knowledge of God’s holy, righteous and unoffendable disposition, and develop reverence of God in our hearts. Thus, we have the resolve to forsake the flesh, no longer follow our fleshly preferences and freely commit sins, and instead begin to practice the truth and conduct ourselves according to the requirements of God’s words. By continually undergoing Almighty God’s judgment and chastisement, we can gradually resolve the issue of our sinfulness and become those who truly obey and revere God. This is the result of Almighty God’s work of judgment through words. So, only by experiencing Almighty God’s work of judgment through words in the last days can we resolve the issue of our sinfulness and enter God’s kingdom. Just as Revelation 22:14 prophesied, “Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
