Everyone has a deep longing to receive God’s blessings. The truth is that God’s blessings go far beyond what we expect or desire. But how can we obtain these blessings from God? Now we would like to share with you 3 ways to experience God’s abundant blessings.
1. Prioritize God in Our Lives — He Is the Source of Blessings
When we seek God’s blessings, we often tend to concentrate on our own needs and desires, unintentionally overlooking the significance of prioritizing God in our lives. However, as we place God at the forefront of our lives, we gradually recognize the positive impact of His presence and blessings on our journey.
Placing God at the forefront of our lives means getting to know Him and establishing an intimate relationship with Him. It’s not a simple task; it requires us to spend time with God, to read and meditate on His word, and to pray and reflect. Through these practices, we can gain a deeper understanding of God’s love and His requirements, enabling us to prioritize Him in our lives. Making God the priority in our lives involves letting go of ourselves and allowing His will to guide us. It means that we should seek God’s will rather than pursue our own personal desires. As we obediently follow God’s will, we will discover that we are walking on the right path, experiencing His blessings and grace. Placing God first in our lives also means placing our complete trust in Him, relying on His words and promises. When we trust in God, we will witness His power manifest in our lives, opening paths for us, solving difficulties, and showering us with grace as He journeys with us.
When we prioritize God in our lives, we position ourselves in the best place to receive His blessings. God is the ultimate source of all blessings, and as we walk closely with Him, obedient to His will and trusting in His promises, we open ourselves up to experience His overflowing grace and blessings. Every day, let’s make an effort to keep God at the center of our lives, walking with Him, and embracing His abundant blessings.
2. Allowing God to “Break” Us — Blessings in Adversity
In our lives, God’s blessings often come through a process of “breaking.” This process is not easy; it may even evoke pain, loss, and sadness. However, it is through this experience of brokenness that we truly acknowledge our vulnerability and limitations. It awakens our dependence on and faith in God. God uses adversity to humble us, breaking down our pride and self-sufficiency, and making us more humble and reverent towards Him. As we navigate through difficulties, God’s love and mercy are present, gently comforting our wounded spirits with His tender touch and consoling our weary hearts with words of warmth. When we seek God’s face amidst brokenness, He will undoubtedly pave new paths for us, bringing fresh hope and vitality. Through such painful brokenness, we can completely let go of pride and self-satisfaction, reassess our lives and faith, and acknowledge the significance of God in our lives. When we let go of ourselves, open our hearts to God, and acknowledge our weaknesses and faults, it is then that God blesses us, enabling our lives to be renewed and grow amidst brokenness, deepening our love for Him. God says, “Do not be discouraged, do not be weak, and I will make things clear for you. The road to the kingdom is not so smooth; nothing is that simple! You want blessings to come to you easily, do you not? Today, everyone will have bitter trials to face. Without such trials, the loving heart you have for Me will not grow stronger and you will not have true love for Me. Even if these trials consist merely of minor circumstances, everyone must pass through them; it’s just that the difficulty of the trials will vary from one person to another. Trials are a blessing from Me, and how many of you come often before Me and beg on your knees for My blessings? Silly children! You always think that a few auspicious words count as My blessing, yet you do not recognize that bitterness is one of My blessings. Those who share in My bitterness will certainly share in My sweetness. That is My promise and My blessing to you” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Utterances of Christ in the Beginning, Chapter 41).
May we courageously accept the brokenness God bestows upon us with a grateful heart, for behind the pain, God’s blessings await us. Let us rely on His words, trust His promises, and seek His face in adversity, so that we can truly receive the blessings He bestows and move towards the beautiful kingdom.
3. Keeping Pace with God’s Footsteps — Becoming the Most Blessed
The Book of Revelation prophesies, “These are they which follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits to God and to the Lamb” (Revelation 14:4). This verse reveals a crucial truth: Only by keeping pace with God’s footsteps can we receive His blessings and become truly blessed individuals. Clearly, following God’s footsteps is a significant path to obtain His blessings. But how can we keep pace with God’s footsteps? The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). God created all things with His words, leading and saving humanity with His words, and blessing humanity with His words. Only those who listen to God’s words and recognize His voice can keep pace with God’s footsteps. Just as in the Age of Grace, Jesus expressed the truth, providing the way to repentance for humanity. People like Peter, Nathanael, and the Samaritan woman were attentive to God’s voice; they recognized His voice through the words of the Lord Jesus. They acknowledged Jesus as the promised Messiah, and as a result, they followed Him, received salvation, and became truly blessed individuals.
Now, we live in the last days; how can we hear God’s voice and keep pace with His footsteps? The Lord Jesus once said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20). From these passages, we can see that when the Lord Jesus comes back in the last days, He will speak many words, guiding people to understand all the truth. When we hear someone testify that the Lord has returned and is speaking many truths, we should attentively listen to the words of the returned Lord. If we can recognize God’s voice through the utterances of the returned Lord, and subsequently accept and obey, we will be able to receive God’s blessings, follow His footsteps, and partake in the feast with the Lord, becoming truly blessed individuals. As God’s words state, “All who are able to obey the present utterances of the Holy Spirit are blessed. It does not matter how they used to be, or how the Holy Spirit used to work within them—those who have gained the latest work of God are the most blessed, and those who are unable to follow the latest work today are cast out. God wants those who are able to accept the new light, and He wants those who accept and know His latest work. Why is it said that you must be a chaste virgin? A chaste virgin is able to seek the work of the Holy Spirit and understand the new things, and moreover, able to put aside old notions, and obey the work of God today. This group of people, who accept the newest work of today, were predestined by God before the ages, and are the most blessed of people. You hear the voice of God directly, and behold the appearance of God, and so, throughout heaven and earth, and throughout the ages, none have been more blessed than you, this group of people” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. Know God’s Newest Work and Follow His Footsteps).
In the pursuit of God’s blessings, it is crucial to follow His footsteps. Only when we obey the Holy Spirit’s new work, listen to His voice, and keep up with the steps of His work, can we truly experience the abundant blessings of God. May all of us become individuals who can hear God’s voice, follow His footsteps, and receive His blessings.
